It makes a lot of sense to pack highly sensitive and cutting edge technology into a balloon and just float that sucker up and hope it ends up somewhere important and doesn’t crash.

Nearly every part of the story is unknown or highly suspect, so I find it amusing to see that people have colored in all of the space with a story that matches exactly what they’ve been saying, and it’s all political.

P.S. People are now OMG’ing over what was that mist when the balloon blew up. People are such drama queens.
